A couple of New cards!

 I'm a little burned out on Christmas cards. So I pulled out some images from Mo's Digital Pencil and had a winter summer bash.

I haven't been very productive lately so tonight after the kids went to bed I forced myself to work.

 

Here is the first one I finished. Home sweet Home

I am a bird lover through and through. We have a few Mountain Blue jay's

that hang around enjoying all of the food I put out. I Love the colors!

So I use them for most of the birds I color :)

 

Next up is a sweet summery/spring? card using another of

Mo's images called Fridays child.

Again with the birds...

 

Ive been struggling lately with getting the right combo for red hair. I think this may be my favorite yet,

The colors are copic and are as follows,

YR14, E16, E07, E29 and E34.

Lol this is the first time I has happy enough to actually right myself

a note about it. Now to get the other hair colors down.

Also I had a bit of time today because Bri had a play date this afternoon,

This is a quick simple card that took only about a half an hour.

It is just a quick heat embossed stamped image using the 

new stamp from Stampin' up, Medallion.

A few layers and I called it good. As an after thought I decked it out

with pearls cause we all know I love to go over board somewhere!  

 
 

The Girls got a car!

Hee Hee if you want to call it that...

This is similar to what it looks like, but this one is in great shape!

The one we are bringing home tomorrow is lime green has a full roll cage, motor and tires... and well thats about it! Ha Ha!

No interior what so ever. The guy we bought it from was getting ready to put racing seats in it but decided to sell it before he got to it. It starts up great, so it may not need to much to get it going.

I think the twins will have a blast helping us track down all the interior, a few mirrors a window or two... but heck by the time its finished they will just be getting their drivers licenses. They get the permit's in April.

We just found out awesome news, my Sister's husband's dad, owns the local VW repair place. He fixes up used bugs all the time! So that means we may have help! Woo Hoo!

How cool is this! I would have loved a bug at their age! Heck I kinda want this one Hee Hee. 

I'll post pics of the actual car when we get it home hopefully tomorrow. Its a couple towns over. Got to LOVE craigslist!
 

It's Blog Hop time again!

It's that time a month... (No not that one) The good one where we hop around and see all the amazing creations that the hard working Design Team put out For Mo's Digital Pencil Too!

As most of you probably already know her work is Stunning! Her images have so much character and excitement to them!

This is a new on that I'm sure you will all love! The whole time I was working on it I had Piece on Earth running through my head. Of course I don't have a stamp like that and I'm not savvy enough to figure out how to print then space where I want to cut on my cricut for the right shape. Uhggg.

So my stamp is a Stampin up stamp that says:

Tho' far and wide

On earth we roam.

At Christmas time

Our hearts come home

It almost fits? Right?

 

 
I'll show you the inside first since thats where Mo's newest image is!

This little baby is sitting on the earth reaching for the stars! Peace on earth, right! I just Love this one!

The little sweet heart is a pop up image, though it is hard to tell from the picture. Our challenge this month was to doa pop up card, and I can tell you I really struggled with this. After I popped him out and added the stars all I could think was,

"Ok now what?" I have had this sitting open on my desk for like four days. I haven't been able to work on anything else till I was happy with this one.

FOUR DAYS! that is a record for me! No more Pop up cards for me! Hee Hee!

What a Day!

We were off to Georgetown canyon early this morning to hunt down a Christmas tree!

Of course we chose to do it when there was a foot of snow on the ground and more on the way! Over the next two days we are due to be hit with the biggest storm of the season so far.Woo Hoo!

Georgetown is about an hour and a half from us and it is absolutely my favorite place to camp and play! We take the 4wheelers out every summer, but this was my first time seeing it covered in snow! All I can say is WOW!

So, bundled in lots of layers and snow chains on, we headed way back into the back country. After about a mile in, we strapped the sled to the back of the truck and pulled the kids along. It was great to hear them all laughing and having a great time. As soon as I figure out how to get pic's from my phone to the computer I'll get them uploaded (Hopefully!)

But in the mean time here is the tree we trudged through the woods to get.

The kids picked it and deemed it "The One!" so lol it's the one!

And here it is decked out:

We had to take a large piece of the top to fit it in the house. It kinda threw off the proportions but thats Ok! It's Christmas!

We decked out the tree with almost all of our Hallmark ornaments from Grandma Peggy and Grandpa Hub... there are at least 100 on there.. Hee Hee

Then I found the awesome gold leaves I bought last year but forgot to use and stuffed them in as filler. We spread sparkly snow tinsel all over and went to town with the wooden cranberries and ice sickles.

In the end we had fun and Love the tree!

This image from Mo just looks exactly like a look Bri gives me all the time. I opted to do this little ones hair in brown so I wouldn't let her know where the inspiration came from. Heee heee!
