I put together a quick how to on expanding the feathers of my newest digi the peacock.
I hope you like it, please let me know what you think!
I decided this guy needed more feathers! So I printed him twice to get the extra layers..
I cut out what I needed and then glued it to the back of the finished peacock with glue.
My favorite being the zipdry.
I then finished coloring in the layers.
Copics used for this are:
BG01 aqua blue
BG05 holiday blue
BG49 duck blue
G14 apple green
BV08 blue violet
B63 light hydrangea
YR23 yellow ochre
110 special black.
You can see some shimmer in this picture, I have added some shimmerz in mint that was a gift from Cindy. Thank you!!
After coloring all of the feathers in the lightest I take my second darkest color and add some areas I want shaded. Then go over it in the lighter color. Repeat with the darkest blue and shade with the lightest blue..
outline the end of each feather in green and color the streamer feathers in purple and the eyes of each larger feather purple as well. The yellow ochre is my favorite for the feather circles and beak.
Another neat trick is the use of a copic liner. I like to outline the feathers again after they are colored to help make them pop. My favorite liner is a 0.3 :)
I hope this helps inspire you!
Thanks for the tutorial. I will do the same with my prisma pencils and OMS.
