First start off by printing the image in the size you want it, then re-open the same image in a photo editing software. I use Adobe Photoshop.
Flip the image vertical then reprint another of this image the same size. I like to just save a copy with the flipped image so I can use it again later.
Next cut the paper you want to turn into a card front. This is a heavy white card stock cut at 5.5 x 5.5.
Cut shapes of snow drifts out of sticky note paper and put down where you would like a snow drift or the beginning of your ice. Then use a sponge and some ink to sponge over your layer.
Remove the sticky paper..
And replace it at different levels to create drifts and depth.
Check out this neat trick I tried! I convinced my daughter to cut out the snowmen for me. I highly recommend it, very time saving...
While you convince someone to cut out snowmen (HEEE HHEEEE), Keep layering and adding to your project until you are happy with the effects.
Place your cut out snowmen in the position you would like to determine if any more inked layers are needed.
Next color the two guys as close to the same as you can get them.
I've attached the snowman on the ice flush with the background then I popped the upper snowman up with some dimensional tape.
Next, a nice thick coat of Glossy accents. Then spread it out with a paint brush and let dry !
When dry, finish layering your card.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and found it helpful :)
